Turnkey bathroom plumbing in Batumi: from outlet layout to fixtures
Turnkey bathroom plumbing in Batumi is handled by one crew: from the apartment's main valve to fixtures that work and don't leak. We draw the outlet layout and assemble the inlet with a filter and pressure reducing valve, the manifold, the pipework and the drains, build in the installation frame and concealed mixer, and fit the fixtures after tiling. Labour for a bathroom with 4–6 points costs from 1,680 ₾, with materials and fixtures extra. We pressure-test the pipes and photograph them before they are closed up.
from 1 680 ₾/roomlabour only: pipework to 4–6 points, manifold and fitting fixtures; materials extra. The final price is confirmed once agreed.
- Timeline: 3–5 working days for pipework in a bathroom with 4–6 points, and 1–2 days to fit the fixtures after tiling
- Warranty: 2 years on the work, 5 years on concealed pipes and wiring
Who it’s for
A white frame apartment: the developer's outlets are in one corner, but the shower, basin and washing machine will go elsewhere
A bathroom for short-term rental, where a leak should mean shutting off one line, not the whole apartment
A second bathroom that needs its own pipework from the manifold, not a branch off the first bathroom's pipes
A tiler you know is laying the tiles, and you want the plumbing done by a contractor with a warranty on the pipes
You don't live in Batumi and want a pipe diagram with measurements, not just photos of the finished tiles
What’s included
- an outlet layout with outlet heights for your models
- an inlet assembly: ball valves, coarse filter, pressure reducing valve
- a manifold with labelled valves behind a hatch
- cold and hot water pipework to 4–6 points, in thermal insulation
- 110 and 50 mm drains with a fall and an inspection opening
- building in the installation frame, mixer body and floor drain
- a pressure test of the water supply and a water test of the drains, with photos showing a tape measure
- caps on the outlets until the tiling is finished
- fitting the fixtures and commissioning the system line by line
- a routing diagram for the handover file
What the job includes and what other trades do
We price turnkey bathroom plumbing in Batumi for the whole bathroom: from the apartment's main valve to the fixture that is tested with water in front of you. The job includes the inlet assembly, the manifold, pipework to 4–6 points, the drains, built-in parts for concealed fixtures and fitting the sanitary ware after tiling. One crew handles the whole chain, so if there is a leak, you don't have to work out whose joint it is.
Screed, waterproofing and tiling are not part of this job: they are done between our two visits to the site. If we are renovating the whole bathroom, everything runs to one schedule, as in a full bathroom renovation. Old pipes in the rest of the apartment are replaced within the same job, and the procedure for replacing old pipework is described separately.
The outlet layout before the first pipe
We start with the layout: where each fixture goes, what outlets it needs and at what height. We take the heights from the specifications of the chosen model and from the tile layout. An outlet that lands on the edge of a tile can't be hidden under a cover flange afterwards, so concealed fixtures are chosen before the pipework.
| Fixture | What we bring out | What decides the position |
|---|---|---|
| Basin | Cold and hot water, 50 mm waste | The height of the vanity unit or worktop, the type of trap |
| Wall-hung toilet | Cold water into the frame, 110 mm outlet | The frame model and the bowl height |
| Shower or bath | A concealed mixer body or two outlets for a wall-mounted mixer, a floor drain or a bath trap | The tile layout, the shower head height, the bath rim |
| Washing machine | Cold water with a valve, a waste with a trap | The depth of the recess, the socket position |
| Bidet shower | Cold and hot water into the mixer body | Which side of the toilet it is easier to use from |
For a wall-mounted mixer we set the two outlets at the same height, 150 mm between centres: the eccentric connectors of most wall-mounted mixers are made for this spacing, and they can't make up a large misalignment. We set the ends of the outlets to the plane of the future tiles, otherwise the cover flanges will sit crooked or won't reach the wall.
Manifold or tees
A tee system runs one pipe from fixture to fixture, while a manifold system gives each fixture its own pipe and its own valve.
| Manifold | Tees | |
|---|---|---|
| Joints | All in one place, behind a hatch | At each fixture, often in the wall |
| If there is a leak | One line is shut off | All the water is shut off |
| Two taps open at once | The pressure is shared more evenly | The furthest fixture loses pressure |
We almost always fit a manifold, and in a rental apartment without exception. It takes more pipe and needs a recess with a hatch, so we keep tees for a compact bathroom by the riser, where all the joints fit inside boxing with an inspection hatch. We mark the manifold recess on the layout straight away, so that the hatch doesn't land on a large tile in the middle of a wall.
Inlet assembly and manifold under one hatch
Straight after the apartment's main valve we fit the inlet assembly: a ball valve, a mesh filter and a pressure reducing valve if the pressure is higher than the specifications of the mixers and washing machine allow. We usually set the reducing valve to 3 bar by the gauge: at this setting the shower and the washing machine run at the same time without a drop in pressure, and there is still a margin below the limit in the appliances' specifications. We write the figure on the diagram, so that there is something to compare against a year later. What further stages of filtration there are, from a filter housing to reverse osmosis under the sink, is covered in the section on water filters.
We put the inlet assembly and the manifold next to each other, so that one hatch gives access to the valves, the filter and the meters. If the inlet is at the riser in the bathroom, the recess goes in the riser boxing. If the inlet is in a recess in the hallway, we put the manifold in the bathroom behind its own hatch and run a single pipe without joints between them.
Drains: diameters, bends, water test
We connect the toilet with a 110 mm pipe, and the basin, shower, bath and washing machine with 50 mm pipes laid to a fall towards the riser. On horizontal runs we make turns from two 45° bends instead of one right angle: hair and grease catch on a sharp corner, and that is where a blockage starts. We leave an inspection opening where it can be opened without removing tiles.
Before closing up, we test the drains by running water: we pour water into each outlet in turn and watch the joints and how fast it drains away. You receive the result in the report, together with the pressure test of the water supply and photos of the pipe runs with measurements from the floor and corners, before the screed goes over the pipes.
Second visit: fixtures and commissioning line by line
Once the tiles are grouted, we come back to fit the fixtures: we hang the toilet, fit the basin, the concealed mixer trim plates and the bidet shower, and connect the washing machine. How each of them is fitted and what we check at handover is covered on the pages about fitting basins, mixers and toilets and about the installation frame.
We bring the system into service line by line. With all the manifold valves closed, we open the inlet, then one line at a time, and on each we check the joints at the fixture and in the manifold recess. This way a leak is immediately tied to one line, and there is no need to search the whole bathroom for it. At the end we fill and drain the bath, keep the shower running and look into the hatch once more.
Prices for turnkey bathroom plumbing in Batumi
Turnkey bathroom plumbing costs from 1,680 to 2,400 ₾ for labour: pipework to 4–6 points, a manifold and fitting the fixtures. Pipes, fittings, the manifold and the drains come to another 810–1,200 ₾ per bathroom, with fixtures extra.
If you only need part of the work, we price it line by line: fitting a manifold costs 270–360 ₾, and an inlet assembly with valves, a filter and a pressure reducing valve 190–240 ₾. The price goes up with concealed mixers, a second bathroom and fixtures moved away from the riser. A bathroom where the fixtures go onto the developer's outlets and the runs are short comes out cheaper. The final cost is set after the site measurement and once the estimate is agreed, and the price of a stage in the contract doesn't go up unless the scope changes.

Local specifics in Batumi
In a white frame apartment, the developer doesn't always fit a filter and a pressure reducing valve on the inlet, so we almost always assemble the inlet from scratch. If the apartment is still under the developer's warranty, we pressure-test the developer's pipes and film them before altering anything. A leak or an outlet without a fall goes into a signed report that is passed to the developer: after our alterations, that part can no longer be separated from the new work, and the developer is unlikely to accept a claim for it.
In an apartment for short-term rental, we label the manifold valves by fixture and photograph them for the property manager. If a cistern starts leaking at night, its line can be shut off using the photo, leaving water in the shower and kitchen, without waiting for a plumber.
Materials and brands
We build the bathroom water supply from polypropylene or PEX. For hot water we use reinforced polypropylene: it expands less when heated and doesn't sag between the fixings. Pipes and fittings come from one system, because mixing manufacturers on heat-fused joints is a bad idea.
The manifold is brass, with a valve on each outlet and caps on spare branches for a future fixture. We assemble the drains from plastic pipes with rubber seals. If there is a bedroom on the other side of the bathroom wall, we use low-noise thick-walled drain pipe and fix it with rubber-lined clips.
What makes up the cost
Timeline: 3–5 working days for pipework in a bathroom with 4–6 points, and 1–2 days to fit the fixtures after tiling
- pipework materials are a separate line in the estimate, and you choose their grade
What raises the cost
- a second bathroom, or a washing machine outside the bathroom with its own pipe run
- concealed mixers and a concealed bidet shower
- moving the toilet or shower away from the riser, with the floor raised for the fall
- an inlet assembly with a pressure reducing valve and a motorised valve
What lowers the cost
- the fixtures go onto the developer's outlets
- one bathroom by the riser, with short runs
We prepare the exact estimate from measurements and photos. It’s free and comes with no obligation.

A 5-year warranty on pipes in walls and 2 years on fitting fixtures.
The five-year period covers the pipework and drains in walls and floors that we assembled, from the apartment's main valve onwards. Mixers, the installation frame and the water heater carry the manufacturer's warranty, but a leak caused by the installation is still covered by ours.
Questions and answers
How much does turnkey bathroom plumbing cost in Batumi?
Labour for a bathroom with 4–6 points, a manifold and fitting the fixtures costs from 1,680 to 2,400 ₾. Pipework materials, that is pipes, fittings, the manifold and the drains, add another 810–1,200 ₾. You choose the toilet, basin, mixers and installation frame yourself, and they are not included in these amounts.
Within the range, the price depends on concealed mixers, a bidet shower and the distance from the riser to the toilet. We send a preliminary price based on the plan and the list of fixtures, and fix the final cost after the site measurement and once the estimate is agreed.
When should I buy sanitary ware if a crew is doing the pipework?
In two rounds. Everything that goes into the wall must be on site when the pipework starts: the installation frame, the concealed mixer body, the floor drain. We set the outlets by them, and a change of model can't be corrected later without opening up the wall. The basin, toilet and mixers only need to be chosen by that day and delivered by the end of the tiling.
If you haven't chosen the trim plate yet and the pipework is coming up soon, universal concealed bodies help: Grohe and Hansgrohe each make bodies that take many trim plates of the same brand. Then, by the time of the pipework, you need to decide on the brand, the type of mixer and the number of outlets, for example a hand shower only, or a hand shower with an overhead shower. We still check the height of the basin waste before setting its outlet.
What happens to the developer's outlets if the shower and basin go somewhere else?
We cut outlets that are no longer needed back to the tee or valve they branch from, and cap them there. If the pipe is capped right at the wall, a dead leg is left behind the cap, where water sits for months without moving. A drain outlet gets an airtight cap, otherwise it will let smells into the bathroom.
Some of the developer's outlets can usually be used: the cold and hot water up to the manifold, and the 110 mm outlet for the toilet if it stays by the riser. What we keep and what we cut off is shown on the outlet layout before work starts, and these are separate lines in the estimate.
Can I order turnkey plumbing if another crew is doing the tiling?
Yes. We do the first part: the inlet assembly, manifold, pipework, drains and built-in parts. We give the tiler a diagram with measurements from the floor and corners, and a finished floor level mark on the walls. The outlets stay capped and stick out of the wall by the calculated length, and the concealed mixer body is closed with its installation cover, which the tiler uses to set the thickness of the tiling.
On the day of handover, we film the outlets. If they are knocked or covered in mortar later, that is no longer a warranty case, so ask the tiler to check them when they take over the bathroom. Before our second visit we check how the tiling sits around the outlets, and only then fit the fixtures.
How many days does bathroom plumbing take?
The first part, from the inlet assembly to the pressure test, takes 3–5 working days for a bathroom with 4–6 points. Fitting the fixtures after tiling takes another 1–2 days. In between come the screed, waterproofing and tiling, and their timing is set by the tiling crew, usually one to three weeks.
It takes longer if the installation frame or the mixer body hasn't arrived by the start of the pipework, or if the wall for the manifold has to be levelled first. We put the dates of both visits into the schedule, so that there are no empty days between them.
